I enjoyed the article and I know what you mean about the “social life” of the ForTwo!! Have had my Cabriolet since April ‘08. It does real well here in Colorado and has been over the Continental Divide at no less than 50mph.

Yep. smart USA announced that you can still buy a panel set for the discontinued colors “metallic red” and “light yellow” until they run out.

Nothing has been stated about replacing the gauge surrounds or steering column stalk buttons (which are in matching colors) or if they’ll keep a stash of interior fabrics on hand for repairs/replacement, but I would gather there should be a limited supply of those as well.

Thats a very good question Al, you may find that the yellow will still be available for a short time for purchase on there own as a panel package.

This is a very similar trend to what happened back in Europe the first time round making certain colors a very hot commodity.
